So Much Happening

there really has been so much going on.....school started, which for my Kaliko is exciting and intimidating.  she's nervous because of her dyslexia....she knows she's behind her friends in reading.  this year i'm taking command.  iwent to the district about testing, instead of waiting for her teacher to notice there's an issue.  talked to the new LD coordinator at the school.  eye test is done; physical next week.  she's been to the speech teacher, her Ss are done wrong.  research, research, research on my end.  reading a book called 'The Secret Life of the Dyslexic Child' by Robert Frank ph.d.  the intro alone moved me to tears.  the book has soem great ideas and tools that may help. 

the last year i've let a lot of things slide by....that's a story for another day. now i'm back and my daughter is #1 priority.  i'm head room parent in her class, volunteer in the school library...hopefully getting a part-time job doing something i love, photography and getting my craft on, again.

i've done a few projects....i need to post pix of them.

i went on an all women float trip again.  so much better this time.  i loved it last year, when i went for the first time, but last year was......last year was difficult, to say the least.  again, a story for another time....when i'm ready to talk about it, if that ever happens.  the weather was perfect, the company superb, the water was ice cold!  but that's a good thing cuz it was hot.

my hubs and i took our daughter there a few weeks before and it was even hotter, 104 degrees!!! it was a great trip!  kaliko loved the river.  we brought home a tadpole to put in our lil pond.  he is now a frog and in a tank in her room.  his name is pascal!  : )

she is at the lake with her grands and other family this labor day weekend.  pickle is here with his lil monkey.  pickle and princess has seperated....so sad, monkey isn't even a year old yet.  he's starting to walk.  they will probably move and i won't get to see them much.  haven't told kaliko yet, she'll be sad too.

now to see if i can find a pic to post of my crafting......there found one, in reverse tho it may be : )
